[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from [email protected] --- I am trying to do a KDE Triage. I am not a KDE Developer. I am a normal KDE user. I can confirm that this behavior is observed only for Wastebin as given in this bug. For all other items in the places and Directories the customized detail view is persisted and observed. I cannot confirm whether this is intended behavior or a bug. The KDE Developers will have to take a call on that. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin. Go to Settings > Configure Dolphin > View > General Tab. Enable the option "Use Common display style for all folders." Click on Apply and then OK. 2. Go to a directory, say for example Downloads. Change the View Mode to Details, by using the keyboard shortcut key CTRL+3 or navigating to the menu item, View > Change View Mode > Details. 3. In the columns where Name, Size, Modified are shown right click and select the option Type or any other option. 4. Navigate to another directory, say for example Documents. The changes in View mode and layout are retained. The columns selected in Step num 3 are shown even in the new directory. 5. Navigate to the Wastebin directory. The layout as seen in Downloads and Documents is discarded and only Name, Path, Deletion Time columns are shown. 6. Right click on the column headers showing Name, Path, Deletion Time and select "Created" or any other column. It will be added to Wastebin. 7. Navigate to any other directory. I have selected Downloads any other directory path can be selected. The Layout changes to what we had selected in Step 3 are shown.
