If you want to see colors, use Image -> Convert Image Color Space -> and then make sure that in Model you get RGB/Alpha, in Depth: 8bit/integer, and the Profile is the one with (Default) at the end. Leave all other options as they are, and make sure to save as a new file instead of just normal saving.
