The maintainers will need to weigh in on this. As a note, by default, the battery icon is shown when the laptop is on battery power. It will also be shown if the laptop is on AC power but charge is less than 100%. (Under System Tray Settings - the Power and Battery icon is set to "Shown when relevant" by default) Since we already change the battery icon when the user manually blocks auto-sleep and screen locking, we can use the same "blocked" icon if an application is blocking them.
