            Bug ID: 520702
           Summary: Dolphin/KIO SMB authentication issue on KDE Wayland –
                    shares only appear with guest access or embedded
                    credentials
    Classification: Applications
           Product: dolphin
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: iOS
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

System
* Bazzite 44
* KDE Plasma on Wayland
* Dolphin/KIO SMB backend
* SMB server is ZimaOS

Issue:
Authenticated SMB share browsing through Dolphin does not work correctly.

Behavior:

* smb://server shows no shares
* Dolphin often never prompts properly for credentials
* Guest-enabled shares appear immediately
* Embedding credentials directly in the URL works:
    smb://user:password@server/share

However:

* smbclient works correctly
* CIFS mounts work correctly
* Nautilus/GVFS works correctly
* Direct access to shares works once authenticated another way

This seems specific to Dolphin/KIO SMB authentication or share enumeration.

Additional notes:

* Guest shares enumerate correctly
* Authenticated shares do not
* Embedded credentials partially bypass the issue
* kioclient ls smb://server only returns .
* KWallet was enabled and tested
* Multiple users reproduced similar behavior online with KIO SMB

Possible related areas:

* KIO SMB auth/session handling
* KWallet integration
* SMB signing/encryption negotiation
* Guest + authenticated share interaction
* Wayland/KIO SMB behavior

At this point the SMB server itself appears healthy since all non-KIO methods
function normally.
