Bug ID: 520979
Summary: systemsettings keyboard shortcuts are broken
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version First 6.6.5
Reported In:
Platform: Neon
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
KDE Plasma 6 release broke keyboard navigation and controls in System Settings
app, which worked flawlessly in the past.
In Keyboard and Display Configuration Settings, alt+a moves the focus onto
Apply button. Whereas it should click the button without changing the focus.
When closing systemsettings app without applying changes, it displays a dialog
box with Apply, Discard, Cancel buttons. alt+a moves focus to Apply button,
alt+d moves focus to Discard button, alt+c correctly clicks Cancel button.
Also, there are now multiple controls with the same shortcut in some pages. In
Display Configuration Settings, there are multiple controls with alt+s and
alt+a shortcuts. alt+s has no effect. alt+a has a different effect when Apply
button is disabled.
In Night Light Settings, alt+a clicks Apply button without stealing the focus
from the current control. And that's the correct and expected behaviour.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Display Configuration settings.
2. Adjust any setting, e.g. Brightness.
3. Press alt+a.
OBSERVED RESULT
The input focus moves to Apply button.
EXPECTED RESULT
Click Apply button. The input focus remains unchanged.
