            Bug ID: 520983
Summary: Unable to receive some notifications when phone is
                    inactive (Google Home)
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdeconnect
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Android
                OS: Android 16.x
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: android-application
          Assignee: [email protected]

                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
I'm only receiving Google Home notifications from my phone to Fedora KDE
desktop when my phone is unlocked and active.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Lock phone or let phone timeout
2. Trigger Google Home camera alert

OBSERVED RESULT
Phone is notified of the alert, but it doesn't show up in KDE Connect on my
laptop. The 'stale' alert will show up after force stopping/restarting KDE
Connect on my phone or killing/refreshing on my laptop.

EXPECTED RESULT
When my phone is unlocked/active, I see the notification on the KDE Connect
widget and the real time notification with video on the desktop; and of course
would expect the same thing when the phone is locked/inactive.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Fedora Linux 44 and Android 16 on a Samsung S22 Ultra.
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.26.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thought it could be related to this bug:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=495146, but the workarounds don't seem to
fix it, and have confirmed KDE Connect is receiving sensitive notifications:
RECEIVE_SENSITIVE_NOTIFICATIONS: allow; time=+23m31s181ms ago;
rejectTime=+1d5h27m0s802ms ago

I don't have 'enhanced notifications', but tried disabling notification
categories, have enabled full content on the lock screen for Google Home, tried
different settings for Always On Display as well as extend unlock. Suggested
actions are off. KDE Connect has all of the special privs that I can see. KDE
Connect is added to Android's idle exception list/whitelist.

I've had an active file transfer between my phone while my phone is
locked/inactive and still don't get a Google Home alert, so it seems more like
an Android restriction that could hopefully be resolved than app sleep/idle
issues or network.
