With the empty db the import finishes quickly. I ran the import operation from the command line and collected the logs - with added timestamps. The "log_empty" is from importing into a new empty db. The log_slow is from importing the same file. Note the import was into the same db that produced the original error. Meaning that I have imported the finance data twice. The not responding message does show up. But it is not strictly identical to the original run.
