I posted a video in the support channel on CachyOS discord (https://discord.com/channels/862292009423470592/1515393999110668469), and then found this report here. It seems based on the icon count on the desktop. If it is the only icon and I rename, it disappears. If there are 2+ it will stay after renaming. I can move an icon to another monitor and reproduce the functionality repeatedly. I don't have Activities other than the default one that I can see.
