            Bug ID: 521447
Summary: Uninstalled applications should get un-favorite-d
                    automatically
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.6.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff) widget
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

When some .desktop file (e.g. Steam game) is added as a favorite to the
Application Launcher, then it is uninstalled, the shortcut vanishes, as
expected, since there is no desktop file related to the shortcut.

However, if the same app is later reinstalled (also as an example a Steam game)
then it will automatically reappear as a new entry in the favorites section,
because it was not manually un-favorite-d before being uninstalled (the desktop
file being deleted).

I think that when a desktop file is removed from the system it should also be
removed from the internal preferences file that save which shortcuts were
bookmarked to the app launcher menu.

Thanks.
