Bug ID: 521559
Summary: plasma-login-manager and session restore prefer the
secondary screen
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version First 6.6.5
Reported In:
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: multi-screen
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Plasmalogin ignores display configuration (prefers the second screen, thinks
display arrangement is inverted ) and the plasma session restores all the
windows at the second screen.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have two screens connected, let's name them L and R.
2. Set up them under "System Settings->Display and monitor->Display
configuration" as LR, and L is set to be the primary one.
3. Enable plasmalogin.
4. Open some windows and re-login.
OBSERVED RESULT
Plasmalogin acts as if the screens are set up as RL, R is the primary one.
Plasma restores all the windows at the screen R.
EXPECTED RESULT
Plasmalogin follows the display setup. If plasma is unable to restore windows
at the same screen they were in the previous session, at least it could use the
primary screen.
