--- Comment #1 from Adam Gray <[email protected]> ---
I'm currently seeing this issue too, I have all of the preview options enabled
(expect Text Files), as well as Local and Remote Storage options and the 'Show
previews for folders' option checked.
All of my file previews are working correctly, and properly get disable if I
disable the related setting in the Dolphin Configure. But folders/directory
previews never seems to work.

I've read that it potentially could be caused by the mount options for the
drive? But these are the defaults for my OS using LUKS and BTRFS.
In case this is related here's a copy of my mount options:
OS Disk:
subvol=root,compress=zstd:1,x-systemd.device-timeout=0,ro
Additional Disks:
nosuid,nodev,nofail,x-gvfs-show,x-gvfs-name=Files

Additionally, I've tried creating a new user account (both a root and a
non-root user) to see if maybe there was something wrong with my user account.
Neither showed any different results, both still not showing the
folders/directory previews.

The only different between what I'm seeing and what [email protected] sees is
previews are not showing for me in my smb://xxxxxx.home share. Rather showing
the same blank folder icons.
