I think I fooled myself about the triple buffering. I have compared with and
without that setting and I do not perceive a difference. However I do still
perceive a difference in mouse latency when switching between windows and kwin.

I have attached the output of drm_info.

My phone's camera goes up to 240 Hz so I attempted to collect some data to back
this up by recording the delay between moving my mouse and the cursor moving on
screen. On KWin, I measured a mean latency of 53ms with standard deviation
9.8ms (13 samples). On Windows, I measured a mean latency of 39 ms with
standard deviation 6.3 ms (10 samples). I would need to collect more data to be
sure but it seems likely that there is a real latency difference between the
platforms.
