DESCRIPTION
I'm in Lisbon Portugal, I have been using the Portuguese from Portugal keyboard
for many years within KDE. On Plasma 6.7 many applications stopped showing
accents, which for Portuguese is most words ... I have had to resort to
editing command line configurations of specific apps to be able to write in my
native language.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1 - Run a native Wayland session on KDE Plasma 6.7.
2 - Set the system keyboard layout to Portuguese (pt-pt).
3 - Launch any Chromium-based browser (e.g., Vivaldi) or Electron application
(e.g., Rambox) running natively under Wayland flags (--ozone-platform=wayland).
4 - Attempt to type accented characters or dead keys (e.g., trying to write
"Não" results in "Nao" or missing characters).

OBSERVED RESULT
Chromium and Electron apps drop dead key compositions completely and default to
standard US/generic mapping under native Wayland text-input protocols.

EXPECTED RESULT
The compositor should correctly pass the host's Portuguese keyboard mapping and
dead key states to Chromium windows using the text-input protocol.

Workaround identified:
Forcing the applications to run via XWayland using --ozone-platform=x11
completely restores the correct keyboard mapping, confirming a Wayland-specific
communication regression in the latest Plasma update.
