Sergey Katunin <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #9 from Sergey Katunin <[email protected]> --- There is a problem with the wallpaper being displayed on all monitors without being able to turn it off. Firstly, if use OLED monitors as additional monitors in a multimonitor configuration (for example, 3 monitors), then it is harmful for them to display such a static image as wallpaper for a long time, and a black screen would turn off their pixels altogether. So, I would prefer that these additional monitors not display wallpaper, but a black screen. Secondly, if several large displays are used (let's say 27 inches), then, for example, I put black wallpaper on additional monitors so that they don't blind me like floodlights. And at the same time, the kscreenlocker unfortunately turns on the wallpaper on all three monitors, which creates too much light from them, and in general just wastes energy on these monitors for no particular reason. A possible solution would be to make an option that allows to show not only the UI on that one monitor at a time with the pointer, but also to have the wallpaper with UI displayed only on that one monitor at the time. This would be in addition to `lockscreen: only show UI on screen with mouse`. This should solve the problem described, without creating new problems with identifying the "main" monitor (and those cases where the main monitor is turned off, but it sends a signal that it's working, and so on). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
