Bug ID: 522262
Summary: Scaling factor less than 100% causes issues
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version First 6.7.0
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_kscreen
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---
On my dual display desktop everything looks quite large and to free up some
screen space I would like to use a 75% scaling factor. However, when I choose
this all sorts of problems pop up. The first is that Google Chrome shrinks
every time the mouse reaches an edge (I have focus follows mouse) and
everything tends to look blurry.
It would be nice if there were still some way to configure DPI, but that was
removed and this suggested alternative to use scaling is just plain broken at
less than 100%.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set scaling to less than 100% on KCM screen.
2. Attempt to resize the Google Chrome browser.
OBSERVED RESULT
The browser window just shrinks
EXPECTED RESULT
I expect things to scale downward once, as if adjusting for a low DPI screen.
