Accent bug
DESCRIPTION
So, this specific bug is happening since forever, I don't know if this is
fixable or not.
I use fcitx5 as my IM, I do not set any variables for the IM, only for
XMODIFIERS, I selected Fcitx5 on the Virtual Keyboards setting. When I want to
type an accented character as my first letter on any text box that ISN'T
SELECTED, the accent doesn't get applied, but if I just type a normal character
without accent, the textbox gets highlighted and the letter pops up normally,
so, if I want to start typing with the letter "é" it types just "e", then I
need to delete this and type again with the accent, or select the textbox
before start typing. Technically this shouldn't be a fcitx5 problem, since
programs should be using wayland's input method v3 or something like this.
Using Vesktop this happens, pressing Meta to open Kickoff and start typing
happens too, so its not a Qt or GTK thing.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Press Meta to open Kickoff
2. Try to type a accented character as the first letter
OBSERVED RESULT
The accented letter doesn't get typed but the text box gets selected
EXPECTED RESULT
The letter should be typed with the accent normally
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This has been happening for a long long time, not a recent thing.
