So basically, the NVIDIA GPU driver got updated and this caused Plasma to crash
until two third-party widgets were removed? Sounds horrible!

Unfortunately, given that the only KDE code involved here was plasmashell
acting as a host to all that 3rd-party code, there's not much we can do here
short of re-architecting Plasma to put 3rd-party widgets in their own process
so they can't bring down the whole shell. Which I would like to do. But that's
a huge long-term project, not something that can be counted on to happen soon,
I'm afraid.

In the meantime, please report this issue to the NVIDIA folks, either by
sending an email to [email protected] or making a post at
https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/c/gpu-graphics/linux. It would be helpful
to the NVIDIA developers if you could run nvidia-bug-report.sh and attach the
resulting file in your report.
