It seems that nothing has changed visually (dekstop still lagging when waking up, powerdevil still has high single core usage) BUT the access errors are gone from the journal. I just thought about this while reading the logs. In order to control the laptop's display backlight I have to force "acpi_backlight=native", could that influence this in any way?
