--- Comment #3 from Luke <[email protected]> --- That's insightful. I'm seeing the same thing. If I install the Fcitx5 package and the add-on for my particular IME, the behavior is as expected. Reverting back to the system packages reintroduces the bug. The root of this is thus not a KDE bug, but likely is an "bug" for Neon users with the particular mix of package versions.
