Hi,
I think I found an inconsistency in the Transform effect.
With Distort disabled:
- Scaling works around the center of the clip.
- The visual center stays in the same place.
With Distort enabled:
- Changing the Width or Height causes the image to expand from one side instead
of from the center.
- The visual center of the object moves as the width/height changes.
This means that when animating Distort, the object appears to drift and I have
to manually compensate by adjusting Position.
However, when using the on-screen transform handles while holding Ctrl, the
scaling behaves as expected and remains centered.
Expected behaviour:
Changing Width or Height while Distort is enabled should keep the object's
center fixed, matching the behaviour of normal scaling (or there should be an
option to keep scaling centered).
I've attached screenshots/video demonstrating the difference.
