--- Comment #2 from Michael Carpino <[email protected]> ---
Thanks for following up! To clarify the account setup:

Account Hierarchy: It is a New Investment Account, which was created with the
default paired Brokerage account (the cash account attached to it to hold
uninvested funds).

The Transaction: The paycheck transaction originates in my main Checking
account. Within that single paycheck transaction, there are two separate
transfer split lines targeting that paired Brokerage account (e.g., Line 1 =
$1,200 Employee Contribution, Line 2 = $300 Employer Match..

No Stock Actions in this Split: The paycheck transaction itself contains no
stock/fund actions (no Buy/Sell Shares)—it is purely transferring cash into the
Brokerage account. (Fund purchases happen in a separate transaction later
inside the Investment Account ledger).

The Trigger: When I go to Account > Edit Account on that new
Brokerage/Investment account, KMyMoney's consistency check re-evaluates the
linked paycheck transaction in the Checking ledger. It appears to collapse the
two split lines pointing to that specific Brokerage account into one, causing
the transaction sum to fail ($0.00 check), setting the Checking amount to the
first split value, and resetting the transaction date to the Brokerage
account's Opening Date.

Total accounts involved in the split: 1 Checking Account, 1 Brokerage Cash
Account (nested under the Investment Account), and standard Tax/Expense
categories.

This seems to only effect the first transaction in the Brokerage Account. of
changing the amount and date. I'm willing to recreate the issue and send some
screen shots later of what happens to help show the outcome.
