--- Comment #4 from Dirk Wallenstein <[email protected]> ---
It happens regardless of the settings in the clipboard configuration, but "Keep
same" turned on makes it worse. Turned on, I get exactly this sequence every
time:

Jul 28 07:26:15 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType text/plain;charset=utf-8
Jul 28 07:26:16 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType text/plain
Jul 28 07:26:17 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType text/plain;charset=utf-8
Jul 28 07:26:18 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType text/plain
Jul 28 07:26:19 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType _VIMENC_TEXT
Jul 28 07:26:20 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType _VIM_TEXT
Jul 28 07:26:21 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType UTF8_STRING
Jul 28 07:26:22 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType COMPOUND_TEXT
Jul 28 07:26:23 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType TEXT
Jul 28 07:26:24 imp plasmashell[3421]: DataControlOffer: timeout reading
from pipe for mimeType STRING

When I clear the history, I get four instead of two of the initial text/plain
pairs. This also happens when I change the number of entries preserved.

All those individual entries appear in a second-by-second cadence.

Oh, ... It's gone. When I set "Text Selection: Always save in history" it's
gone.

Workaround:
- Turn off: "Keep the selection and clipboard the same"
- Select: "Text Selection: Always save in history"
