Kleopatra/GnuPG successfully decrypts a file but does not create the output
file when using the standard decrypt function.
Product: Kleopatra (Gpg4win 5.1.0)
Operating System: Windows
Issue: Kleopatra reports successful decryption but no output file is created
after clicking "Save All".
Expected behaviour: - Decrypt .gpg file - Create decrypted .RPT file in
selected output folder
Actual behaviour: - Kleopatra displays: "Decrypted and verified
'<filename>.gpg' as '<filename>.RPT'" - Clicking "Save All" closes the dialog -
No .RPT file is created - No error message is displayed
Additional information: - This workflow has been used successfully every
business day for over 2years. - The issue started recently after an update.
The same behaviour occurs with both new files and historical encrypted files
that previously decrypted successfully.
The same behaviour occurs when saving to: - Network share folders - Local
folder C:\Temp -
Verified write permissions by manually creating files in the destination
folder. - Audit log does not report decryption failure. - Audit log contains:
"gpg: Can't check signature: No public key" but decryption is reported as
successful.
Example message shown by Kleopatra: "Decrypted and verified '<filename>.gpg' as
'<filename>.RPT'" No output file is present after Save All completes.
