--- Comment #12 from Rean <[email protected]> --- It doesn't happen simply by having Compositor Killer open; it happens whenever Compositor Killer is opened and there are other animations happening on the desktop, for example, opening Kicker or doing other things in Plasma Shell. I've noticed it with games: if there's a game running and it causes KWin to slow down in any way, if you open up stuff like the Kicker and move the mouse, the mouse will lag. I remember this not happening at all in older Plasma 6.x releases. And I know FOR A FACT hardware cursors weren't a thing in plasma's wayland session history years ago. I can go back to those times by disabling the hardware cursor completely using the KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR environment variable and experience the same thing I experienced when i first used Plasma's Wayland session in the early days in early Plasma 5.x releases. I'm not talking about KWIN_X11; I'm talking about KWIN_WAYLAND. In X11 you don't get cursor lag AT ALL. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
