Chiming in to say that this issue is affecting me and my organization. 

I would expect one of the following:

1. Suppression matching should consistently use linkage names (mangled names)
whenever available, regardless of whether a frame is inline or non-inline. This
could involve using the DW_AT_linkage_name (or a linkage name reachable through
DW_AT_abstract_origin / DW_AT_specification) for inlined functions if
available, instead of the non-mangled DW_AT_name. 

or

2. If this distinction is intentional or unavoidable, it should be documented
in the suppression documentation so that users know when mangled versus
unmangled names are required. The current documentation states that C++
function names in suppressions should be mangled, and does not mention an
exception for inline frames.
