--- Comment #9 from Brandon Belew <[email protected]> --- Chiming in to say that this issue is affecting me and my organization. I would expect one of the following: 1. Suppression matching should consistently use linkage names (mangled names) whenever available, regardless of whether a frame is inline or non-inline. This could involve using the DW_AT_linkage_name (or a linkage name reachable through DW_AT_abstract_origin / DW_AT_specification) for inlined functions if available, instead of the non-mangled DW_AT_name. or 2. If this distinction is intentional or unavoidable, it should be documented in the suppression documentation so that users know when mangled versus unmangled names are required. The current documentation states that C++ function names in suppressions should be mangled, and does not mention an exception for inline frames. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
