Demonstration and comparisons
DESCRIPTION
The clock widget incorrectly handles OpenType font features when set in System
Settings / kdeglobals. The Date section behaves as expected regardless of
layout (and the font is displayed correctly as in other programs), while the
Time section uses the correct font but disregards features and uses odd
spacing.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change fonts in System Settings to a font supporting OpenType features
2. Enter desired features in the font selector box
3. Restart plasmashell as needed to apply changes
4. Observe that the features are correctly used by all parts of Plasma except
the digital clock's Time section
OBSERVED RESULT
The date uses correct font features (as does the rest of Plasma), while the
time does not respect the configuration and the font is unchanged from its
default. The clock itself also appears to be forced monospace, with 1s in
particular being oddly spaced out.
EXPECTED RESULT
Font features are applied consistently everywhere
