DESCRIPTION
Hi there,
I use discover with the flatpak and fwupd backend installed. I also see the
notifier icon in the system tray sometimes telling me that updates are
available.
In my experience for the last few months, automatic updates only sometimes work
(they are enabled in the system settings).
However, I sometimes get a notification telling me (I think) that it installed
the updates, but when I open Discover, all updates are still visible. I
attached a screenshot of the notification (it's in German since my system is in
German).
It says:
Discover
Updates (Finished)
Clicking the update button manually in Discover works as expected and then
installs the updates.
I also had the issue that, when the tray icon indicated that updates are
installed in the background, I was not able to open discover. I had to quit the
tray icon to be able to open it again, though I can't reproduce it right now,
so I'm not formally reporting it, I just want to make you aware that such an
issue might exist (or it has been recently fixed)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have updates available
2. Wait for Discover Update service to install them (or not in my case?)
3. Get notification about finished updates
4. Still see updates in Discover
OBSERVED RESULT
The updates have not been installed
EXPECTED RESULT
The updates are installed
