If it is "just a logical consequence" of my configuration, than this should
also apply to an extended panel too, shouldn't it? ... Or how is the logic
different for extended panels?

And secondly: In my view the logical consequence of the hidden-panel-setting
should clearly be, that it shows the panel the moment I hit the designated
area. ... Not just sometimes. But always. ... That's what one should logically
expect from this setting, isn't it?
