I commonly create smaller tiles for maximizing screen real-estate and
preventing apps from overlapping. However, in some situations I'm OK with
temporarily overlapping apps, so instead of permanently modifying a tile to be
larger, I wish I could attach a window to multiple tiles as suggested in the
OP.

One example that I use all the time are 2 small tiles for App A, and 1 of those
2 tiles for App B. I'm OK with the apps overlapping because I don't interact
with them often, but when I do, it's more important for me to keep App A on
top, so after interaction with App B, App A is still visible and within an
Activation click to bring it back to top.
