The digikam4.db TagProperties table contains records of "person" and "faceEngineId" for tags with green icons, tags with white icons do not have these records. Removing the "person" and "faceEngineId" records display the tag icons as white. Interesting aside, in the digikam4.db tags table, names associated with green tags show a value of "tag" in the iconkde column where others are set to null. Updating these to null does not seem to have an affect on the displayed icons after the above records were removed. Before the TagProperties records were removed changing the "tag" entry to null resulted in a smiley face.
