When xwaylandvideobridge is running in the background, an invisible window or
input region appears to remain active over the primary desktop workspace. As a
result, right-clicking on empty desktop space fails to trigger the plasmashell
context menu. Application windows (e.g., Dolphin, Kitty, Firefox) continue to
process right-clicks normally.
Steps to Reproduce:
Log into a Plasma Wayland session with xwaylandvideobridge active in the
system tray.
Ensure you are on Virtual Desktop 1 with standard background wallpaper
exposed.
Right-click on any empty area of the desktop wallpaper.
Observed Result:
No context menu appears on the primary desktop space.
Workarounds / Edge Behaviors:
Virtual Desktops: Moving active application windows to Virtual Desktop
2 restores desktop right-click functionality on Virtual Desktop 2. Switching
back to Virtual Desktop 1 reproduces the issue.
Peek at Desktop Widget: Toggling the "Peek at Desktop" system tray
widget temporarily allows the desktop context menu to open. Toggling it again
breaks it once more.
Terminating Process: Quitting xwaylandvideobridge via its system tray
icon immediately restores desktop right-click functionality across all
workspaces without requiring a plasmashell or KWin restart.
Expected Result:
xwaylandvideobridge should maintain invisible or pass-through input regions so
it does not intercept mouse input or focus meant for the root desktop window.
