I've > done that. I honestly hadn't thought it through so thoroughly, but simply having that feature in Dolphin would be, I think, satisfactory, as it's the more « intuitive » way. You just select files, and as you would ctrl + c to copy them all, or ctrl + x, or del, you'd ctrl + p to print them. I don't want to open an app, that's kind of my idea. In the CLI version, you can use wildcards with lp such as lp *jpg. You don't need to open your jpg in an app to be able to print by bunch. And that's what I'd want in Dolphin : you select a bunch of files, text, image, pdf, you name it, and as you would have the « copy » and « cut » options, you'd have a « print » option.
