Bug ID: 524927
Summary: Ctrl+Enter never adds a transaction in 26.8.0; Add
button and Shift+Enter still work
Classification: Applications
Product: skrooge
Version First 26.8.0
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 25.1.0
SUMMARY
In Skrooge 26.8.0, Ctrl+Enter does not add a transaction. Clicking Add works.
Shift+Enter still modifies. The problem is not a missing Plasma shortcut and
cannot be rebound in Skrooge.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Operations and fill a valid new transaction so Add is enabled.
2. Press Ctrl+Enter (main Return and keypad Enter).
3. Repeat with focus on:
- an editor field (Amount, Payee, Category, Comment)
- the transaction table / empty editor panel
4. Click Add with the mouse.
5. Press Shift+Enter on an existing transaction.
6. Open Settings → Configure Keyboard Shortcuts and search for "Add".
7. In that dialog, use key-search and press Ctrl+Enter.
8. In Plasma System Settings → Keyboard → Shortcuts, search for Ctrl+Enter.
OBSERVED RESULT
- Ctrl+Enter never adds a transaction.
- Fails with table/panel focus and with field focus (not only when a child
widget is focused).
- Fails on the laptop keyboard and on an external/virtual keyboard.
- Fails with the virtual keyboard disabled.
- Fails when launched as: QT_IM_MODULE=none QT_IM_MODULES=none skrooge
- Fails when launched as: QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb skrooge
- Clicking Add works.
- Shift+Enter still modifies.
- There is no "Add" action in Settings → Configure Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Plasma has no Ctrl+Enter / Ctrl+Return binding.
EXPECTED RESULT
Ctrl+Enter should trigger Add, as documented and as implemented next to
Shift+Enter for Modify. Add/Modify should be real actions so they appear in
Configure Keyboard Shortcuts.
