--- Comment #2 from Angel Parra <[email protected]> ---
The same steps should work because they boil down to the same fundamental issue
about DND bringing back notifications to screen.

Anyway, here's another way to reproduce the exact same issue, so fixing this
should fix the other too:

1. Put three desktops in row or column as you wish, the only condition is that
you can glide on them comfortably.
2. In the middle desktop, play a video on VLC full screen on repeat, which will
set DND on when you switch to that desktop and off otherwise
3. Switch to one of the desktops of the side
4. Trigger or receive a notification that pops on your screen, such as a
message or any notification
5. Switch to the middle desktop where the video is playing, which if you have
panel in floating mode, will explicitly let you know that DND was switched on
and you'll see the notification quickly hiding to the tray
6. This is where the UX problem comes. When you switch away from the video
desktop again, the notification that was just hidden gets shown again on
screen, which comes with the issues described in the original message.

No matter if the switch is made through touchpad or keybinds, the only rule is
that when crossing from desktop 1 to 3 and back to 1 you must step in desktop
2, where 1 and 3 are your empty desktops and 2 is the video you have playing on
FULLSCREEN ON REPEAT so switching to/from it will always toggle DND, as that is
how switching desktops in laptop works.
