DESCRIPTION
Please add an optional Library view that presents media from user-configured
local folders and remains available across Haruna restarts.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Haruna.
2. Open media from multiple folders.
3. Reopen Haruna and try to browse those folders as one persistent collection.
OBSERVED RESULT
Haruna can open files, folders, and playlists, but users cannot keep folders as
persistent media sources and browse their combined contents.
EXPECTED RESULT
Haruna provides an optional Library view that remembers configured folders,
shows their media, and starts normal playback when an item is selected.
USE CASE AND REQUIREMENTS
I keep local videos in organized folders, sometimes across multiple drives.
Opening a folder is temporary, while playlists require manual upkeep when files
change.
The Library should:
- Let users add or remove one or more source folders without modifying their
files.
- Remember those folders across restarts.
- Show supported media from the folders and their subfolders while preserving
enough folder context to distinguish similar filenames.
- Offer a way to refresh the collection after files are added, moved, renamed,
or removed.
- Leave existing file, folder, URL, and playlist workflows unchanged.
SCOPE
This request defines a user workflow, not an internal architecture or refresh
mechanism. Artwork, online metadata, smart categories, and a dedicated
"Continue Watching" view can be separate follow-ups.
RELATED REQUESTS
This request complements rather than duplicates:
- Bug 516220 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=516220), which requests
folder selection and hierarchy-preserving navigation.
- Bug 519250 (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=519250), which requests
opening a folder or .xspf playlist passed to Haruna.
Both would improve folder handling, but neither requests remembered sources
combined in a persistent Library view.

Version, installation method, and operating system details have not been
