This has been an issue for a while.
When importing the first clip of a project by drag and drop to the time line,
it cuts the video of wherever the line is on the timeline.
I don't know how other's haven't noticed this.
Is it a ""feature"" perhaps?
It can be a problem when you don't realise that it has been cut, or forget to
drag it out if expecting the issue.

DESCRIPTION
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open kdenlive on a new project (do not do any other steps, use default
profile)
2. Drag and drop a clip in.
3. Notice that the clip is cut off, drag it out to see.
OBSERVED RESULT
First clip dragged and dropped onto timeline gets cut off
EXPECTED RESULT
The fill clip goes in
