Problem: Desktop freezes for ~90 seconds after a reboot. The mouse pointer
remains active, in that it will move, but the system does not respond
immediately if something is selected. However, after the 90 seconds, if
something was selected (Firefox for example) will open automatically. During
the "frozen" period the on-screen digital clock is also frozen and the
"seconds" begin incrementing again once the system becomes available.
Steps to Reproduce: reboot the system
