KWin no longer picks anything automatically that's less than 120%. That said, scaling image data should be much more possible to do well at low scale factors than monochrome line-art with single-pixel strokes. By any chance does all of this only happen when you have multiple screens with different scale factors? Does everything work as expected if you only use the built-in screen at its 110% scale?
