It does what it says — except for the case of the Overview and Task Manager thumbnails. In those cases, it's not doing what it says, and we should fix that. Moving to KWin, which provides these "recordings". Also marking as critical per https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging#Set_the_Severity_field, since the issue causes the user's private data to be leaked — it's private because they used the "hide from screenshots and screen recordings" feature, which provides an expectation of privacy that the system needs to live up to. As for the pointer shape thing, that's not a real issue. If you're doing something so sensitive that your activities can be intuited from the presence, absence, or shapes of the pointer, consider not streaming or screen recording it in the first place.
