In testing if the newest release fixed the thumbnail drag upwards or downwards
off the view area (not fixed yet)- I simply let go of the left click to cancel
the operation. I get a popup titled File Conflict- with a description that says
files or folders with the same name already exist in the target folder. with 4
options for conflict resolution
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. As explained- click-drag any thumbnail within a given album and release it
in any area not occupied by a thumbnail within the thumbnail view window

EXPECTED RESULT
There should never be a condition where draging and releasing a file within its
own folder yields an attempt to duplicate the file. That is a right-click
copy/paste action, or a Ctrl-C Ctrl-V action. Drag-release within a folder is a
non-actionable process. Unless the drag-drop is over another object (folder in
a tree, or image in thumbnail view, where this implies a change in collection
membership), this should only ever be interpreted as an aborted drag/drop
event, most typically associated with an attempt to associate a file with
another as a group, or perhaps via some supplemental keypress, copying certain
file metadata from one file to another.
