Bug ID: 526422
Summary: Touch long press on window preview in Task Manager
doesn't open context menu
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.7.5
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager widgets
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
DESCRIPTION
When long pressing (i.e. Tap-and-hold gesture) a window preview on a touch
screen, the context menu doesn't open. Per default, a long press acts as a
right click, but not on the window preview. However, opening the context menu
on a icon on the task bar with a long press does open the context menu there.
This is a problem when wanting to access the context menu of a grouped
application with multiple windows.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On a device with a touch screen, open a application to make it appear in the
task manager
2. Open the flyout menu with the window preview. With a finger, this seems
unreliable, but I did it with a drawing pen
3. Long press on the window preview
OBSERVED RESULT
The context menu does not open
EXPECTED RESULT
The context menu should open, just like it does when doing a long press on the
application icon
