Bug ID: 526534
Summary: error handling in export - server replied with status
code 409"
Classification: Applications
Product: digikam
Version First 9.1.0
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Other
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Plugin-WebService-DropBox
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
when exporting pictures to dropbox, the export fires the error: "Error
transferring https://content.dropboxapi.com/2/files/upload - server replied
with status code 409" from time to time. happens when picture exist. Not for
all pictures already in dropbox, only for selected ones. Not clear what causes
the error.
Anyway, as the picture I selected for uploading exists already in dropbox, I
would love to have a checkbox in the export dialog where I can select "ignore
error when picture exists in destination" or "ignore pictures existing in
destination already" or something like this.
Side note: would also nice to have the option to remove pictures from
destination which are not part of my upload. But that is a feature request.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Upload a huge number of pictures (300 in my case, based on tags)
2. Upload to a folder in dropbox first time -> nor error
3. Upload to folder again -> error 409 for some pictures
OBSERVED RESULT
Error transferring https://content.dropboxapi.com/2/files/upload - server
replied with status code 409
EXPECTED RESULT
option to ignor this error
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window):
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:
Windows 11, with latest components of digikam 9.1.0
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Upload stops when the error pops up. I have to remove the picture causing the
error from the upload list and continue. error can happen again with another
picture. have to remove the picture again, and continue uploading. and again,
and again. As a result, I can't trigger an upload of a huge amount of pictures
(up to 2000) and let the upload run without monitoring. this makes the whole
thing time consuming.
