optional <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from optional <[email protected]> --- I noticed this report is marked as RESOLVED INTENTIONAL. I understand this may be by design, but I wanted to share this workaround for users who prefer restoring the previous quick-tiled geometry. I can reproduce this bug on Kubuntu 26.04, KDE Plasma 6.6.6, Wayland. However, I found a simple workaround that does not require any KWin scripts or additional software. Steps: 1. Open a window and quick-tile it to an edge or corner using Meta+Arrow or by dragging it with the mouse. 2. Activate **Make Window Fullscreen** using a KWin keyboard shortcut, instead of **Maximize Window**. 3. Press the same shortcut again to exit fullscreen. **Result:** The window correctly returns to its previous quick-tiled position and size. With the regular **Maximize Window** action (Meta+PgUp), the quick-tiled state is lost, and the window returns to its original floating geometry instead. This suggests that fullscreen state transitions preserve the previous quick-tiled geometry correctly, whereas maximize/unmaximize transitions do not. Hopefully this observation will help identify the cause of the bug. It also provides a practical workaround for other affected users. And BTW, if I remember correctly, the "Maximize Window" shortcut worked fine in Kubuntu 24.04. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
