            Bug ID: 526873
Summary: Option to show the job progress percentage next to the
notification icon in the system tray
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.7.5
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Notifications
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

While a background job runs (a Dolphin copy, a download), the notifications
icon in the tray shows a progress ring and the number of jobs. At normal tray
size the ring is hard to read: 40% and 60% look much the same, and to see the
actual number I have to open the popup.

Request: a setting in the Notifications widget, "Show job progress percentage
next to the icon", that draws e.g. "47%" to the right of the ring. With several
jobs it would show the same combined value the ring already uses. Off by
default, so nothing changes unless it is enabled.

The Battery widget already has "Show battery percentage on icon", and bug
411972 asks for the same with the volume level. This would be the same idea
for jobs.

Plasma 6.7.5, CachyOS, Wayland.
