Bug ID: 527298
Summary: Export Layers plugin fails with non-ASCII paths (e.g.
ñ, á, ü) - creates mangled directory and
overwrites/loses exports
Classification: Applications
Product: krita
Version First 6.0.3
Reported In:
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Scripting
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
The Export Layers plugin fails to handle Unicode characters in file paths. If
the selected folder name contains "ñ", the plugin creates a duplicated path
with broken encoding, causing the save operation to fail.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.-Create a folder with "ñ" in its name (e.g., ~\Diseños\)
2.-Export layers to that folder using the Export Layers plugin
OBSERVED RESULT
What actually happens is that the plugin creates a folder instead, whose name
is corrupted: it shows as replacement character in the file manager and as
$'\321' in ls output. The layers are not saved in the intended location.
EXPECTED RESULT
The layers should be exported as images in the desired folder, even when the
path contains Unicode characters.
