NB: I said `6.8.0` above, but given i'm using `kdelinux`, whose desktop
watermark says `KDE Plasma 6.9 Dev`, but 6.9 seems omitted from the pick-list,
my choice might be incorrect.
DESCRIPTION
When seeking to create a custom dark-scheme colour palette by editing an
existing stored dark-scheme colour palette, upon opening the edit windowlet all
the colours have flipped to light-scheme mode. That is, whereas pre-edit the
view & window [etc] backgrounds were a dark colour, with their respective text
items a light colour for suitable contrast, upon editing all backgrounds have
become light, all text dark, apparently just as if the user had been editing a
light-scheme rather than a dark scheme. Users must then tediously go through
**all** the items & manually "flip" them back, before editing their actually
desired fields for customisation. However, if they do not get it absolutely as
they want it, first time, all that work is lost when re-opening the edit,
because it once more flips back to light-mode.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings & navigate to Appearance & Style - Colours & Themes -
Colours
2. Pick any available dark-mode scheme, or install any third-party one
3. Click its Edit button to open its Editing windowlet
OBSERVED RESULT
4. Observe that all background fields previously dark have now flipped to
light, & all text fields previously light have now flipped to dark
EXPECTED RESULT
Any dark-scheme before invoking the edit option should remain dark once editing
has initiated.

Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window): KDE Linux 2026-10-15 14:28, but also at least some preceding
builds [ie, i cannot identify when the bug first arose]
