--- Comment #11 from [email protected] --- Status update on the Qt side, for anyone following this: With current xkeyboard-config (2.47 here), <FK23> is [ XF86TouchpadOff, XF86Assistant ] with type PC_SHIFT_SUPER_LEVEL2, so Meta+Shift+F23 from the Copilot key produces XF86Assistant (as comment #9 found). Qt up to 6.12 has no Qt::Key for that keysym, so the shortcut recorder only ever sees Meta+Shift. That's why the KF 6.18 change for TouchpadOff (kguiaddons 7766cb76) no longer helps. Qt has now added it: qtbase commit df7531d90d "Add Qt::Key values for Assistant, SelectiveScreenshot, PerformanceMode" (QTBUG-150874, merged to dev on 2026-10-08) maps XF86Assistant to the new Qt::Key_Assistant. It isn't in the 6.12 branch, so it should arrive with Qt 6.13. https://github.com/qt/qtbase/commit/df7531d90d1348cbbf0ff8d949797f528109c923 On the KDE side, KKeySequenceRecorder's isShiftAsModifierAllowed() (src/recorder/kkeysequencerecorder.cpp) still only special-cases Qt::Key_TouchpadOff. Once Qt delivers Key_Assistant with Shift held, the recorder will most likely need the same exception for Qt::Key_Assistant so the Copilot key can be recorded as Meta+Shift+Assistant. Tested here: Plasma 6.7.5, KF 6.31, Qt 6.11.2, xkeyboard-config 2.47, Fedora 44, Wayland. Workaround until then: an XKB user override that turns <FK23> into a plain one-level F23 and binds Meta+Shift+F23. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
