            Bug ID: 527646
Summary: It should be possible to move PiP windows outside the
                    top of the display area
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
      Version First 6.8.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: EndeavourOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
If you grab a normal window, you can partially move it outside the display area
on the right, on the left, or on the bottom. Not however on the top.

That makes sense since you can only move a normal window by grabbing the top
bar.

PiP windows behave the same. However, since basically the entire area can be
grabbed that limitation doesn't make sense.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0. Set KWIN_WAYLAND_SUPPORT_XX_PIP_V1=1 in /etc/environment to enable the new
pip extension.
1. Play a video in Firefox and open it in a PiP window.
2. Grab the window somewhere in the center and try moving it outside the
display area.

OBSERVED RESULT
PiP window hits a barrier at the top of the display area.

EXPECTED RESULT
PiP window can be moved over the border of the display area at the top just
like on the other sides.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.12.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Just like for normal windows, the barrier can be overcome by holding the Super
key while grabbing the window. That should not be needed for PiP windows.
