Jakob Petsovits <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from Jakob Petsovits <[email protected]> --- (In reply to Graham Kent Lewis from comment #0) > current behaviour (screen of the active window) — should remain the default; I'm not actually convinced of this either. If I bring up the virtual keyboard by touching a window on my touchscreen, and then I move that window to a non-touch screen, that might defeat the purpose of using the virtual keyboard. I'm thinking ideally KWin should keep touch-activated virtual keyboards on touch-capable screens. Perhaps even just leave it on the original screen, where we know that my fingers have access to the touch surface. Maybe it's a different story for pointing devices with relative movement (i.e. mouse/touchpad) which don't need direct touchscreen contact to use the virtual keyboard. In that case, I could see a moving virtual keyboard to be more useful, because it keeps the virtual keyboard close to the window, reducing movement for eyes and mouse pointer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
