            Bug ID: 527651
Summary: "Kickoff" restores default Favorites after reboot even
                    when they're explicitly removed
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
      Version First 6.8.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff) widget
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected]
  Target Milestone: 1.0

DESCRIPTION
If I remove an app that's added to the Favorites section of the Application
Launcher widget by default, while the widget does follow my request, once I
reboot my computer the very app I removed from that section magically appears
in it again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Application Launcher, look into Favorites
2. Right-click on a default KDE app, like Dolphin
3. Click on "Remove from Favorites"
4. Reboot the computer

OBSERVED RESULT
Dolphin reappears in the Favorites section of the widget after that reboot.

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin would remain removed from that section of the widget. This also applies
to apps like System Settings, as they're added to Favorites by default.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Gentoo Linux (~amd64)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.8.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.31.0
Qt Version: 6.11.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'm not sure when this problem actually started happening exactly, it was only
in 6.8.1 that I decided to perform these steps to reproduce it.

The "Possible Duplicates" thing that appears while I'm writing this also list
bug 385814, which makes me wonder if this is a regression. It seems to be an
old bug, too (and apparently I shouldn't re-open closed bugs, so I'm writing
this one now!).
